The Economic Development Division at Southern Crescent Technical College provides dynamic career and workforce development opportunities for the people, businesses, and industries of Butts, Fayette, Henry, Jasper, Lamar, Pike, Spalding, and Upson counties. SCTC Economic Development provides opportunities for individuals and organizations to take a variety of short non-credit courses designed for students to gain the necessary skills to reach their professional goals.

Most programs are offered as short courses, seminars, or workshops at various times and locations that fit into one’s busy schedule.  Our services also provide resources for business, industry, government, and professional groups desiring to supplement their in-house training and workforce development initiatives. Included in these services are professional licensing and certification testing for a variety of careers.

We also offer hundreds of engaging, instructor-facilitated online courses, covering every topic from Anatomy to Web Design. Generally, these classes are open to any and all interested people and are offered in a non-competitive and informal environment. Visit our Online Instruction Center for more information.

More recently, we have added additional online courses that have been previously taught in a classroom or industrial plant setting. These courses include: OSHA 10 Hour, Industrial Electrical Controls and Logic, and Basic Training for Supervisors.  Online Driver’s Education is coming soon for the classroom portion of the course.

Contact us for more information or to enroll in any of our courses.
